Beginner ski passes in the Pyrenees

New to skiing? Discover the joy of the slopes in the Pyrenees

Yes. Even as a beginner (adult or child), you’ll need a ski pass to access the slopes and lifts. It’s required to use ski lifts such as drag lifts, chairlifts, and conveyor belts in your chosen ski zone.

A beginner ski pass is an access card for slopes and lifts. You have two options:

  • The Flex Card: available online or at the ticket office. It’s valid for the season and gives access to dedicated learning zones, perfect for beginners.
  • The classic beginner pass: available at the ticket office. You choose a specific zone depending on the resort. Once you leave that zone, you need a different pass.

Ski resorts divide their ski areas into zones, each defined by lift access.

For example: magic carpets, beginner zones, …

Each zone requires a specific beginner pass, which can only be bought at the ticket office.

You choose the zone, and you’re limited to it for the day.

With the Flex Card, you simply ski. Your usage is tracked automatically, and you’re charged based on where you ski:

For example, one day you only use the conveyor belt, the next you move to a chairlift zone—you’re charged accordingly.

You can move freely across the resort with no restrictions or stress.

Note: check your resort trail map to see all beginner zones.

Prices vary depending on the resort and options chosen. Full pricing is available on each resort’s website.

Yes, resorts offer beginner passes for both children and adults at similar prices. These passes give access to learning zones via the Flex Card system.

In the Pyrenees, ski passes are separate from ski lessons.

You can buy the Flex Card online or purchase a beginner pass at the ticket office. Online purchase is recommended to avoid queues and get better deals.

Whether you’re walking or skiing, you’ll need a valid ticket to access the lifts.

If you stay on foot, you’ll need a pedestrian pass.
If you ski, the No Souci card is a good option.

Beginners have access to specially designed learning zones with gentle, easy slopes. Check the resort trail map for all beginner zones.

To ski in a resort, you need a valid pass.

Beginner zones and family zones are designed for relaxed, easy skiing.
